Seven companies including Talos and Huber complete a three-month Silicon Valley bootcamp featuring an on-site program
Numerous on-the-ground achievements, including meetings with local VCs such as Khosla Ventures and Novo Holdings, and a clinical validation agreement with Johns Hopkins
Over 30 business achievements—clinical and distribution agreements, PoCs, and investment reviews—establishing a bridgehead for entering the U.S. market
Digital Healthcare Partners (CEO Yoonsup Choi, hereinafter DHP), an investment firm specializing in digital healthcare startups, announced that it has successfully concluded the 'DHP Silicon Valley Bootcamp 2026,' a program designed to support the global expansion of promising domestic digital healthcare startups.
Running for approximately three months from January to March, this program was an intensive acceleration program consisting of domestic pre-mentoring (January), a two-week residential on-site program in Silicon Valley (February), and domestic post-mentoring (March). This bootcamp was part of Seoul Bio Hub's 'Global Expansion Growth Acceleration Program,' operated by DHP—selected as the implementing organization—in collaboration with the local Silicon Valley accelerator Outsome.
The seven companies ultimately selected through fierce competition were: ▲Lillycover (AI beauty solutions), ▲Metrit (AI dementia diagnosis), ▲Monit (smart diaper monitoring), ▲Innovide (dental clinic-dental lab connectivity platform), ▲Talos (AI brain aneurysm prediction), ▲Far Far Away (running record sharing app), and ▲Huber (medical AI agent). After going through U.S. market readiness assessments and IR deck enhancement during the domestic pre-mentoring process in January, they joined the on-site program in Silicon Valley in February.
The two-week on-site program was operated with San Mateo, California, as the base camp, and an intensive residential session in Half Moon Bay during the second week. It was structured as a 'hands-on,' high-intensity curriculum in which all participating teams lived and worked together. The first week focused on understanding the structure of the U.S. healthcare market and building networks with local VCs and founders, while the second week concentrated on actual customer interviews, GTM strategy execution, and additional VC meetings.
At the program's centerpiece, the 'VC Round Table,' the seven participating teams were split into small groups to deliver live IR pitches before local Bay Area VCs. In this event, which included Novo Holdings, IndieBio, and StarChain Ventures, participating teams had the opportunity to pitch to local VCs and receive investment reviews. As a result, ▲Huber secured investment review proposals from Pegasus Tech Ventures and Quantum Prime Ventures, and ▲Monit held follow-up investment review meetings with Equitage Ventures, a VC specializing in senior care. ▲Lillycover arranged a follow-up investment meeting with Novo Holdings. Furthermore, the participating teams visited Khosla Ventures, a leading Silicon Valley deep tech venture capital firm, to pitch to and receive advice from its healthcare-focused partner.
The concrete business achievements of individual companies are also noteworthy. ▲Talos reached an agreement with Johns Hopkins University for a U.S. clinical validation contract for its brain aneurysm prediction AI 'ANRISK,' and ▲Monit reached an advisory agreement with senior care consulting authority Mary Furlong (an AARP consultant and Fortune-selected 'Top 25 Women Entrepreneurs') and secured connections with major distribution channels such as Medline and Skylark. ▲Innovide completed the onboarding of a new corporate dental service organization (DSO) worth 300 million won annually, and ▲Metrit reached a research collaboration agreement with PathBrainSeq, a genomics and RNA analysis startup. ▲Huber initiated PoC discussions in oncology with Professor Hyun-Seok Kang of Stanford University School of Medicine and held meetings with the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) group on medical AI research and publication collaboration, reaching a conditional agreement to proceed with a contract following funding.
Various mentoring sessions were also held. These included a special lecture titled 'How to Survive in the Bay Area' by Ki-Yong Han, CEO of UpZen and a renowned Silicon Valley mentor, and a session on intellectual property and U.S. corporate flips by Jeong-Eun Kim, a partner attorney at WilmerHale, one of the three largest U.S. law firms. A discussion session with Seung-Wook Paek, Chairman of the medical AI company Lunit, and a session with Min-Su Seo, CEO of the U.S. medical device distributor Taewoong Medical USA, also received great acclaim. In addition, workshops with founders from 500 Global and Y Combinator led to discussions on local market entry strategies, fundraising know-how, and business partnerships.
DHP CEO Yoonsup Choi stated, "This program focused on giving participating companies the opportunity to directly meet global VCs and experts they would rarely have access to otherwise, receive business feedback, and secure investment opportunities." He added, "The greatest harvest of this bootcamp was that individual companies not only underwent investment reviews with multiple local VCs, but also produced tangible results on the ground—clinical validation agreements, new contracts with medical institutions, securing distribution channels, and local collaboration discussions." He further noted, "We will continue to hold the Silicon Valley bootcamp on a regular basis to support the U.S. expansion of domestic digital healthcare startups."
