디지털 헬스케어 전문 투자사와 CRO의 시너지 기대
디지털 헬스케어 스타트업 발굴, 투자 및 임상연구, 인허가에 협업하기로
디지털 헬스케어 스타트업 전문 투자사, 디지털 헬스케어 파트너스(대표 최윤섭, 이하 DHP)와 디지털 헬스케어 전문 임상수탁기관(CRO) 에버트라이 (대표 신재용)가 업무 협력을 위한 양해 각서 (MOU)를 체결했다고 7월 29일 밝혔다.
두 회사는 이번 양해각서 체결을 통해서 디지털 헬스케어 분야의 유망 스타트업 발굴, 심사 투자 뿐만 아니라, 임상연구, 인허가 등 규제와 관련된 업무에 이르기까지 폭넓게 협력하기로 했다.
DHP는 지난 2016년에 창업한 이후 40개 이상의 국내외 디지털 헬스케어 스타트업에 투자하고 육성해왔으며, 에버트라이는 지난 2022년 창업한 이후 다양한 국내외 디지털 헬스케어 스타트업의 제품 개발부터, 임상 시험, 인허가, 상용화까지 전주기에 이르는 컨설팅과 임상수탁업무를 수행해왔다. 특히, 의료 인공지능과 디지털 치료기기 등 소프트웨어 의료기기 (SaMD)의 임상시험과 인허가와 관련한 풍부한 경험과 전문성을 지니고 있다.
디지털 헬스케어 분야의 투자와 임상수탁에 특화된 두 회사인만큼, 이번 MOU를 통한 시너지를 통해서 디지털 헬스케어 업계의 저변이 더 확대될 것으로 기대된다.
DHP 최윤섭 대표는 "디지털 헬스케어 스타트업이 시장에 진입하기 위해서는 대부분 임상 연구와 인허가, 보험 수가 등의 험난한 과정을 거쳐야 한다"며, "디지털 헬스케어 임상, 규제와 수가에 대한 풍부한 경험과 전문성을 지닌 에버트라이와의 협업을 통해, DHP가 투자한 스타트업의 성장을 더 충실히 지원하겠다"고 밝혔다.
에버트라이 신재용 대표는 "DHP는 국내에서 디지털 헬스케어 분야를 가장 잘 이해하는 엑셀러레이터다. 우리는 초기 제품 개발 단계에서부터 임상을 두 번, 세 번 반복하지 않도록 하여, DHP 투자사들이 자원을 효율적으로 사용하고 빠르게 성장할 수 있도록 지원하겠다."라고 말했다.

Synergy Expected Between a Digital Healthcare-Focused Investor and a CRO
Collaborating on the discovery of and investment in digital healthcare startups, as well as on clinical research and regulatory approval
Digital Healthcare Partners (CEO Yoonsup Choi, hereinafter DHP), an investor specializing in digital healthcare startups, and EverTri (CEO Jae-Yong Shin), a clinical research organization (CRO) specializing in digital healthcare, announced on July 29 that they have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for business cooperation.
Through this MOU, the two companies agreed to collaborate broadly, from the discovery, evaluation, and investment in promising digital healthcare startups to regulatory-related work such as clinical research and licensing.
Since its founding in 2016, DHP has invested in and nurtured more than 40 domestic and international digital healthcare startups. EverTri, founded in 2022, has provided consulting and clinical trial services across the entire lifecycle of various domestic and international digital healthcare startups—from product development to clinical trials, regulatory approval, and commercialization. In particular, it possesses extensive experience and expertise in the clinical trials and regulatory approval of software as a medical device (SaMD), including medical AI and digital therapeutics.
As both companies specialize in investment and clinical research services in the digital healthcare field, the synergy created through this MOU is expected to further expand the foundation of the digital healthcare industry.
DHP CEO Yoonsup Choi stated, "To enter the market, most digital healthcare startups must go through the arduous processes of clinical research, regulatory approval, and insurance reimbursement," adding, "Through our collaboration with EverTri, which has rich experience and expertise in digital healthcare clinical trials, regulation, and reimbursement, DHP will more fully support the growth of the startups we have invested in."
EverTri CEO Jae-Yong Shin said, "DHP is the accelerator that best understands the digital healthcare field in Korea. By preventing companies from having to repeat clinical trials two or three times from the early product development stage, we will help DHP's portfolio companies use their resources efficiently and grow quickly."
