디지털 헬스케어 스타트업 전문 투자사, 디지털 헬스케어 파트너스(DHP)가 지난 2024년 한 해 동안 투자한 실적을 공개했다.
DHP는 2024년 총 326개의 디지털 헬스케어 분야 스타트업을 투자 검토하여, 2016년 창업 이후 최대의 딜 소싱 성과를 기록했다. 지난 2020년 100여개의 스타트업을 투자 검토한 것 대비 4년 만에 3배 이상 성장한 규모이다. 'DHP 의사 창업가 부트캠프' 등 다양한 신규 프로그램을 진행하며 적극적으로 투자 검토 활동을 진행한 성과로 해석된다.
DHP는 이 중 총 8개의 회사에 신규 투자했다. 비율로 보면 검토한 전체 회사 중에 약 2.4%에 해당한다. 신규 투자 포트폴리오는 픽스업헬스 (근골격 원격 재활 모니터링 플랫폼), 마이허브 (의료 인공지능 서비스 플랫폼), 컴파스다이애그노스틱스 (난임 호르몬 검사 소형 의료기기), 마인드허브 (뇌질환 환자 대상 인지 장애 재활 플랫폼), 더블유디티티 (일본 시니어 케어 인공지능 플랫폼), 그래비티랩스 (리워드 기반 건강 관리), 에이인비 (생성형 인공지능 기반 항체 신약 개발), 퍼플에이아이 (뇌신경 질환 진단 인공지능) 등이다. 이로서 DHP는 2016년 창업 이후 지금까지 누적 47개의 디지털 헬스케어 스타트업에 투자했다.
2024년 새롭게 투자 받은 스타트업의 구성을 살펴보면, DHP는 디지털 헬스케어 분야 중에서도 특히 인공지능, 시니어 및 글로벌에 주목했다. 8개의 신규 투자 중에서 마인드허브, 에이인비, 퍼플에이아이 등 7팀이 인공지능을 활용한 헬스케어 스타트업이다. 또한 한국이 지난 12월 초고령화사회로 돌입함에 따라서 마인드허브, 더블유디티티 등 시니어 케어 스타트업도 주목 받았다. 뿐만 아니라, 픽스업헬스, 컴파스다이애그노스틱스와 같은 글로벌 시장에 도전하는 미국 스타트업에도 적극적으로 투자했다.
또한 DHP는 2024년 7월 중소벤처기업부의 팁스(TIPS) 운영사로도 신규 선정되었다. DHP의 팁스 컨소시엄은 삼성서울병원, 분당서울대병원, 연세대학교 바이오헬스기술지주회사, 루닛 등이 참여하며 디지털 헬스케어 스타트업의 발굴, 투자, 육성에 특화되었다. 그 결과 마인드허브와 더블유디티티 등 2개사를 팁스 추천에 성공하는 성과를 거뒀다. 특히, 팁스 추천 성공률 100%를 기록했다. DHP는 2025년에도 일반형 팁스 및 딥테크 팁스를 적극적으로 추천한다는 계획이다.
특히, DHP 측에 따르면, 2024년 DHP의 투자 제안을 받은 스타트업은 한 회사도 빠짐 없이 모두 투자를 받아들였다. 벤처 투자 침체기로 투자금을 구하기 어려웠던 시장 환경의 덕도 있지만, 반대로 투자 경쟁이 치열했던 회사의 경우에도 모두 DHP의 투자 제안을 받아들였다는 것이 의미가 있다. 최윤섭 대표는 이를 디지털 헬스케어 전문 투자사로서 DHP의 전문성과 차별성이 시장의 인정을 받고 있기 때문으로 해석한다. 오렌지바이오메드 박예슬 대표는 "DHP의 투자를 받은 것만으로도 이미 검증된 회사라는 인정을 받아서, IR 기회도 더 많이 얻었으며, 의료계 네트워크도 직접적으로 활용할 수 있었다"고 언급했다.
DHP는 현재 신규 디지털 헬스케어 전문 펀드를 결성하는 등 2025년에도 적극적인 투자 활동을 이어갈 계획이다. 최윤섭 대표에 따르면 앞으로도 인공지능, 시니어, 글로벌 등의 키워드에 주목할 예정이며, 특히 의료를 10배 이상 개선할 잠재력을 갖춘, 소위 '10X 의료' 스타트업에 집중적으로 투자할 계획이다.

픽스업 헬스
픽스업 헬스는 재활 치료사가 환자에게 재활 치료 프로그램을 손쉽게 제공하고, 모니터링할 수 있으며, 특히 보험 청구까지 가능하게 해주는 원격 모니터링 소프트웨어를 서비스하는, 실리콘밸리에 본사를 둔 미국 스타트업이다. 치료사는 픽스업의 솔루션을 활용하여 영상 라이브러리에서 환자에게 필요한 영상을 직접 선택하여 쉽게 제공할 수 있다. 특히, 재활 클리닉의 입장에서는 치료사가 픽스업 헬스의 솔루션을 통해 손쉽게 관련 보험 수가를 청구할 수 있다는 것이 장점이다. 임상원 대표는 미국 MGH 보건전문대학원에서 재활치료학 석사, 하버드 공중보건 대학원에서 질병 역학 석사를 취득한 인재로, 하버드 의대 부속병원 히브루 재활센터와 매사추세츠 종합병원에서 재활치료사와 데이터 분석가로 근무한 헬스케어 전문가이다. 재활 치료 현장에서 발견한 문제를 직접 풀기 위해서 픽스업 헬스를 창업했다.
마이허브
마이허브는 의료 인공지능 솔루션을 병원 현장에 쉽게 도입해서 사용할 수 있도록 해주는 플랫폼을 서비스하는 스타트업이다. 의료 인공지능 관련 기술, 인허가 및 개발사들의 발전에도 불구하고, 여전히 의료 인공지능이 병원에 도입되는 것에는 여러 어려움이 있다. 마이허브는 의료 인공지능 솔루션의 마켓플레이스 역할을 하는 '마이링크'를 통해서 의료 인공지능 개발사와 병원의 어려움을 모두 해결해준다. 루닛, 뷰노, 딥노이드 등을 포함한 대표적인 의료 인공지능 솔루션들이 대부분 연동되어 있어서, 병원에서는 마이링크 하나의 플랫폼에서 필요한 인공지능만 골라서 사용할 수 있다. 마이허브를 도입한 병원은 빠르게 증가하여 300여개에 달한다. 마이허브는 국내 대표적인 의료 인공지능 회사 뷰노를 비롯한 지멘스 등의 인재들이 창업한 회사로, 양혁 대표는 뷰노의 의료 영상 사업 본부장 출신이다.
컴파스 다이애그노스틱스
컴파스는 미국의 난임 클리닉을 대상으로 소형 호르몬 검사 의료기기를 개발하는 스타트업이다. 미국은 난임 클리닉의 구조적 문제로 검사 결과가 나오기까지 수시간에서 하루가 걸린다. 지리적 접근성이 떨어짐에도 불구하고, 환자는 2-3일 간격으로 클리닉에 방문하는 불편함을 감수하고 있다. 컴파스는 미국 시카고에 기반을 둔 미국 스타트업으로, 미국의 난임 클리닉을 대상으로 혈액에서 난임 관련 호르몬을 측정하는 소형 검사 기기를 개발하고 있다. Bio FET와 종이 카트리지에 기반한 기술을 통해서, 검사 비용을 절반으로 줄이고, 측정 시간을 수시간에서 10분으로 줄이는 것을 목표로 한다. 김민구 대표는 미국 존스홉킨스 대학에서 의공학을 전공하고, 스탠퍼드 MBA를 거친 창업가이다.
마인드허브
마인드허브는 뇌졸중, 경도인지장애 등 뇌질환에 대해서, AI 기반의 전산화 인지재활 프로그램 '제니코그'를 서비스한다. 뇌질환은 보통 치료사가 붙어서, 대상자를 위한 훈련 종류 및 난이도를 선택하고, 훈련을 모니터링 해주는 방식으로 진행한다. 마인드허브는 이런 인지재활 치료를 AI 기반으로 자동화해서 제공하는 '제니코그'를 서비스하고 있다. 먼저 병원 대상의 B2B 시장에 진입 중이며, 빅5를 포함한 고려대, 국제성모, 부산대 등 60개 병원에도 진입하여 인정비급여로 환자에게 과금하면서 서비스를 진행 중이다. 이해성 대표는 서울대에서 응용공학(딥러닝)을 전공하였으며, 기술, 기획, 영업 등의 다양한 백그라운드를 가지고 있다.
더블유디티티
더블유디티티는 일본의 시니어 케어 시장을 인공지능으로 혁신하려고 하는 스타트업이다. 일본은 이미 2007년에 초고령 사회에 진입하였고, 돌봄 요양이 필요한 인구도 매년 10% 이상 성장하는 등 시니어 케어 시장이 성장하고 있지만, 디지털 화가 크게 뒤쳐져 있다. 더블유디티티는 일본의 요양 서비스 전체 워크플로우를 통합할 수 있는 디지털 솔루션, '모두의 케어(みんなのケア)' 을 개발하고 있다. 특히 행정 업무가 과도하면서도 여전히 아날로그 (수기 작성, 녹음기 저장 등)로 진행되는 요양 계획 작성, 요양 보호사 배정, 보험금 청구 등의 프로세스를 디지털 솔루션으로 전환하려고 한다. 임석준 대표는 라인, 세일즈포스, 쿠팡 등에서 근무한 프로덕트 전문가이다. 특히 라인 메신져의 초창기부터 DAU 10억명에 이르기까지 프로덕트 매니저로, 라인 뮤직은 시작부터 일본 제2위의 스트리밍 서비스가 되기까지 비즈니스를 이끈 경험이 있다.
그래비티랩스
그래비티랩스는 리워드 기반 건강관리 앱 '머니워크'를 서비스하는 스타트업이다. 머니워크는 '표면적으로는' 앱테크 (앱+재테크) 앱으로 걷기 습관 및 다양한 건강 관련 액션 (AI 건강 카메라, 식단 입력, 인바디 등)을 유도하기 위해 리워드를 사용자에게 제공한다. 이렇게 리워드 기반으로 다양한 헬스케어 액션을 유도하고 이를 통해 데이터를 축적하여, '장기적으로는' 미래 건강 수명을 예측하고 이를 연장할 수 있도록 해주는 생활습관개선 서비스로 발전하려 한다. 머니워크는 글로벌 누적 다운로드 300만을 돌파하였고, 빠르게 성장하며 앱스토어 건강 분야 1위를 달성하기도 하는 등 시장에서 좋은 반응을 얻고 있다. 김운연 대표는 연세의대를 휴학중인 학생 연쇄창업가이다.
에이인비
에이인비는 생성형 인공지능으로 항체 신약 후보 물질을 발굴하는 회사이다. 인공지능 기술은 신약 개발 분야에도 큰 혁신을 가져다 줄 것으로 기대되고 있다. 에이인비는 드물게도 생성형 인공지능으로 특정 질병 타겟에 대한 항체 신약 후보 물질을 디자인하는 기술을 가진 스타트업이다. 모든 항원에 대해서 4주 이내로 신규 항체를 생성하고 자체 실험실을 통해서 검증 가능한 인프라를 보유하고 있다. 기존의 방식으로는 항체 생성이 어려운 질병 타겟에 대해서 에이인비의 기술로 후보 물질이 생성 가능함을 증명하였고, 현재 여러 제약사 및 바이오텍과 협업을 통해 신약을 개발하고 있다. 박은영 대표는 삼성종합기술원, 삼성바이오에피스, ABL 바이오, 스탠다임 등을 거친 항체 신약 개발 전문가이다.
퍼플AI
퍼플AI는 뇌신경 분야의 인공지능을 개발하는 의료 인공지능 스타트업이다. 뇌신경 분야는 의료 영상 AI 시장에서 가장 크고 잠재력이 높은 분야로, 의료 영상이 치료에 미치는 영향도 큰 분야이다. 퍼플 AI는 전략적으로 이런 뇌신경 분야의 CT 이미지를 기반으로 하는 인공지능을 개발하고 있다. 퍼플AI는 CT에 기반해서 뇌출혈, 뇌경색, 뇌동맥류를 진단하는 인공지능을 개발했다. 특히 이 중에 뇌출혈 진단 인공지능은 FDA 및 식약처의 인허가를 받았고, 혁신의료기기통합심사평기를 통해서 올해 중으로 비급여로 일선 병원에서 환자에게 서비스가 제공될 예정이다. 퍼플AI는 SK C&C 내부의 디지털 헬스케어 팀이 2024년 10월에 분사하여 설립된 회사로, 팀장을 맡아오던 박병준 팀장이 대표이사로 취임했다.

Focusing on AI, senior care, and global healthcare startups
Digital Healthcare Partners (DHP), an investment firm specializing in digital healthcare startups, has disclosed its investment record for the year 2024.
In 2024, DHP reviewed a total of 326 startups in the digital healthcare sector for investment, marking its largest deal sourcing achievement since its founding in 2016. This represents more than a threefold increase in scale over just four years, compared to reviewing roughly 100 startups back in 2020. This achievement can be interpreted as the result of actively conducting investment review activities through various new programs such as the 'DHP Physician Entrepreneur Bootcamp.'
Of these, DHP made new investments in a total of 8 companies. In terms of ratio, this corresponds to approximately 2.4% of all companies reviewed. The new investment portfolio includes PhyxUpHealth (a musculoskeletal remote rehabilitation monitoring platform), MyHub (a medical AI service platform), Compass Diagnostics (a compact medical device for infertility hormone testing), MindHub (a cognitive impairment rehabilitation platform for patients with brain disorders), WDTT (a Japanese senior care AI platform), Gravity Labs (reward-based health management), AinB (generative AI–based antibody drug development), and Purple AI (AI for diagnosing neurological disorders). With these, DHP has now invested in a cumulative total of 47 digital healthcare startups since its founding in 2016.
Looking at the composition of the startups newly invested in during 2024, DHP paid particular attention to AI, senior care, and global markets within the digital healthcare sector. Of the 8 new investments, 7 teams—including MindHub, AinB, and Purple AI—are healthcare startups utilizing AI. Furthermore, as Korea entered a super-aged society this past December, senior care startups such as MindHub and WDTT also drew attention. In addition, DHP actively invested in U.S. startups challenging the global market, such as PhyxUpHealth and Compass Diagnostics.
DHP was also newly selected as a TIPS operator by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in July 2024. DHP's TIPS consortium, which includes Samsung Medical Center, Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, Yonsei University Bio-Health Technology Holdings, and Lunit, specializes in discovering, investing in, and nurturing digital healthcare startups. As a result, DHP succeeded in recommending 2 companies—MindHub and WDTT—for TIPS, achieving a 100% TIPS recommendation success rate. DHP plans to actively recommend companies for both general TIPS and deep-tech TIPS in 2025 as well.
Notably, according to DHP, every single startup that received an investment offer from DHP in 2024 accepted it, without exception. This was partly aided by a market environment in which securing funding was difficult amid a venture investment downturn, but it is significant that even companies subject to fierce investment competition all accepted DHP's investment offers. CEO Yoonsup Choi interprets this as a sign that DHP's expertise and differentiation as a specialized digital healthcare investor are being recognized by the market. Yeseul Park, CEO of Orange Biomed, noted, "Simply receiving DHP's investment already earned us recognition as a validated company, giving us more IR opportunities and allowing us to directly leverage the medical community's network."
DHP plans to continue its active investment activities in 2025, including forming a new fund specializing in digital healthcare. According to CEO Yoonsup Choi, DHP will continue to focus on keywords such as AI, senior care, and global markets, and in particular plans to concentrate its investments in so-called '10X healthcare' startups—those with the potential to improve healthcare more than tenfold.
DHP CEO Yoonsup Choi remarked, "2024 was a year in which we truly felt our elevated standing in the market, with a significant increase in healthcare startups eager to receive DHP's investment," adding, "We plan to invest even more actively in 2025, so we hope healthcare startups will knock on DHP's door at any time."

PhyxUpHealth
PhyxUpHealth is a U.S. startup headquartered in Silicon Valley that provides remote monitoring software enabling rehabilitation therapists to easily deliver and monitor rehabilitation programs for patients, and, notably, even to file insurance claims. Using PhyxUp's solution, therapists can easily select and provide the videos a patient needs directly from a video library. In particular, from a rehabilitation clinic's perspective, a key advantage is that therapists can easily claim the relevant insurance reimbursements through PhyxUpHealth's solution. CEO Sang-Won Lim is a talented professional who earned a master's degree in rehabilitation science from the MGH Institute of Health Professions and a master's degree in epidemiology from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. A healthcare expert, he worked as a rehabilitation therapist and data analyst at the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center, affiliated with Harvard Medical School, and at Massachusetts General Hospital. He founded PhyxUpHealth to directly solve the problems he discovered on the front lines of rehabilitation care.
MyHub
MyHub is a startup that provides a platform enabling medical AI solutions to be easily adopted and used in hospital settings. Despite advances in medical AI technology, regulatory approvals, and developers, there remain many difficulties in introducing medical AI into hospitals. MyHub resolves the challenges of both medical AI developers and hospitals through 'MyLink,' which serves as a marketplace for medical AI solutions. Since most leading medical AI solutions, including those from Lunit, VUNO, and Deepnoid, are integrated, hospitals can select and use only the AI they need from the single MyLink platform. The number of hospitals adopting MyHub has grown rapidly, reaching around 300. MyHub was founded by talent from Korea's leading medical AI company VUNO as well as Siemens, and CEO Hyuk Yang previously served as head of VUNO's medical imaging business division.
Compass Diagnostics
Compass is a startup developing a compact hormone testing medical device targeting infertility clinics in the U.S. Due to structural issues at U.S. infertility clinics, it takes anywhere from several hours to a full day to receive test results. Despite poor geographic accessibility, patients endure the inconvenience of visiting clinics every 2–3 days. Compass is a U.S. startup based in Chicago that is developing a compact testing device to measure infertility-related hormones from blood, targeting U.S. infertility clinics. Through technology based on a Bio FET and paper cartridges, it aims to cut testing costs in half and reduce measurement time from several hours to 10 minutes. CEO Min-Gu Kim is an entrepreneur who majored in biomedical engineering at Johns Hopkins University in the U.S. and earned an MBA from Stanford.
MindHub
MindHub provides 'ZeniCog,' an AI-based computerized cognitive rehabilitation program for brain disorders such as stroke and mild cognitive impairment. Brain disorder treatment is usually conducted with a therapist present, selecting the type and difficulty of training for the patient and monitoring the training. MindHub provides 'ZeniCog,' which automates and delivers such cognitive rehabilitation therapy using AI. It is first entering the B2B market targeting hospitals, having already entered 60 hospitals—including the Big 5, Korea University, International St. Mary's Hospital, and Pusan National University—where it provides its service while charging patients under approved non-reimbursable pricing. CEO Hae-Sung Lee majored in applied engineering (deep learning) at Seoul National University and has a diverse background spanning technology, planning, and sales.
WDTT
WDTT is a startup seeking to innovate Japan's senior care market with AI. Japan entered a super-aged society back in 2007, and while its senior care market is growing—with the population requiring nursing care increasing by more than 10% every year—it has fallen significantly behind in digitalization. WDTT is developing 'Care for Everyone (みんなのケア),' a digital solution capable of integrating the entire workflow of Japan's nursing care services. In particular, it aims to convert processes such as care plan creation, caregiver assignment, and insurance claims—which are excessively administrative yet still conducted in analog ways (handwriting, voice recorder storage, etc.)—into digital solutions. CEO Seok-Jun Lim is a product expert who has worked at LINE, Salesforce, and Coupang. In particular, he served as a product manager from the early days of the LINE messenger until it reached 1 billion DAU, and led the business for LINE Music from its launch until it became Japan's second-largest streaming service.
Gravity Labs
Gravity Labs is a startup that provides 'MoneyWalk,' a reward-based health management app. On the surface, MoneyWalk is an 'app-tech' (app + finance) app that provides rewards to users to encourage walking habits and various health-related actions (AI health camera, diet logging, InBody measurements, etc.). By inducing various healthcare actions on a reward basis and accumulating data through them, it seeks to evolve, over the long term, into a lifestyle improvement service that predicts and helps extend future healthy life expectancy. MoneyWalk has surpassed 3 million cumulative global downloads and is receiving a strong market response, growing rapidly and even reaching No. 1 in the App Store's health category. CEO Woon-Yeon Kim is a serial entrepreneur currently on leave from Yonsei University College of Medicine.
AinB
AinB is a company that discovers antibody drug candidates using generative AI. AI technology is expected to bring major innovation to the field of drug development as well. AinB is a rare startup with the technology to design antibody drug candidates for specific disease targets using generative AI. It possesses infrastructure capable of generating new antibodies for any antigen within four weeks and validating them through its own laboratory. It has demonstrated that its technology can generate candidate substances for disease targets for which antibody generation is difficult using conventional methods, and it is currently developing new drugs in collaboration with several pharmaceutical companies and biotechs. CEO Eun-Young Park is an antibody drug development expert who has worked at Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology, Samsung Bioepis, ABL Bio, and Standigm.
Purple AI
Purple AI is a medical AI startup developing AI in the field of neurology. Neurology is the largest and most promising field in the medical imaging AI market, and it is also a field where medical imaging has a significant impact on treatment. Purple AI is strategically developing AI based on CT images in this neurology field. Purple AI has developed AI to diagnose cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral infarction, and cerebral aneurysm based on CT. In particular, its cerebral hemorrhage diagnosis AI has received approval from the FDA and Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, and through the integrated review and assessment for innovative medical devices, it is scheduled to be provided as a non-reimbursable service to patients at frontline hospitals within this year. Purple AI is a company established in October 2024 when the digital healthcare team within SK C&C was spun off, with former team leader Byung-Jun Park taking office as CEO.
